Spirit Canoe

Spirit Canoe was a web tv program produced in the television studio at Confederation College, Thunder Bay. Somewhat short-lived, it succumbed to the cancellation of government funding for such web tv programming. Nevertheless, 15 episodes of Spirit Canoe were produced creating interviews with a number of folks active on Indigenous issues in the region.
Walk-a-Mile
- 5 film commentaries
Walk-a-Mile is the name of a series of 5 films commissioned and used by the City of Thunder Bay to develop training sessions for city employees and interested groups and organizations. The films cover such issues as treaties and colonialism, racism and reconciliation. Here, I present the slide show I created as one of the facilitators hosting the films presentation and follow-up discussions.

A discussion of Treaty 9 in Northern Ontario (1905) by considering three meta-narrative interpretations: i) the fascist-imperialist story, ii) the treaty renewal story and iii) the indigenized Crown story.
